Petar Ristanović, scientific associate, was born in 1985 in Podgorica.

Education:

He graduated in 2010 at the Department of History of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, with the topic „Republic of Užice in Memoirs“.

Petar Ristanović completed his master’s studies in 2011 at the Department of History of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, with the topic „Serbia 1941: Testimonies and Memories“.

He received his doctorate in 2018 at the Department of History of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, with the topic „Serbian intellectual elite and the Kosovo issue 1974-1989“.

Work experience:

Since 2011, he has been employed as a researcher at the Institute for Serbian Culture Pristina / Leposavic, on the project „Spiritual and Material Culture of Kosovo and Metohija“.

He is a member of the Kosovo-Metohija Board of Matica Srpska and an associate on the Serbian Biographical Dictionary project.

Awards, acknowledgements:

„Gavrilo Princip“ award for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of national history defended in Serbia in 2018.

Djurdje I. Jelinić Award for the monograph „Kosovo issue 1974-1989“. The award is given by the Archives of Serbia for scientific work in the field of archival science and historiography, written mainly on the basis of archival material kept in archives in Serbia.
