Assistant professor Borivoje Baltezarević, research associate, was born in 1976 in Niš.
Education
He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of English Language and Literature in 2001 and received the title Professor of English Language and Literature. He obtained Masters in Communication in 2013 at the Faculty of Culture and Media, Megatrend University, Belgrade, Serbia, by defending master’s thesis entitled „Media Manipulation in the Service of the Interests of Multinational Companies“. At the same faculty, he obtained the academic degree of Doctor of Science – Cultural Science, defending his doctoral dissertation entitled: „The impact of digital media on the deconstruction of cultural identity of an individual and society.“
Work experience
Since January 5, 2022, he has been employed at the Institute for Serbian Culture Priština-Leposavić as a research associate in the field of social sciences-political science. From 2018 to 2022, he was employed as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Communications, Belgrade, in in the field of Cultural studies and at the Faculty of Management, Sremski Karlovci, Union-Nikola Tesla University, Belgrade, in the field of Media Management. He has more than ten years of work experience as an expert in international cooperation and projects, in the fields of NGO, local self-government and higher education. He has also been engaged in the IT sector as a narrative and conceptual designer. He has published 4 international monographs and a large number of scientific and professional papers in domestic and foreign professional periodicals. He is a member of the National Coordination Committee of the International Day of Light (MDS) at the Commission of the Republic of Serbia for Cooperation with UNESCO, a member of the editorial board and reviewer of the Humanities journal and a member of UNS. Areas of scientific research are focused on the philosophy of science, (cultural) identity, culture of memory and issues of individual freedom in the context of globalization and technology-mediated life.
