Dr Ivana Ralović, Research Fellow
Dr Ivana Ralović completed her undergraduate/master studies at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade at the Department of General Literature and Literary Theory. She received her PhD from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, University of Arts, Belgrade, defending her doctoral thesis „Transmedia Storytelling in the Creative Work of Aleksandar Saša Petrović“ under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nevena Daković. She worked at the Research and Documentation Centre of the National Theatre in Belgrade, and since August 2021 she has been working at the Institute for Serbian Culture in Priština – Leposavić.
As a PhD student, she was a collaborator in the project The Status of Women Scholars and Scientists in the Labour Market and Society in Serbia, which was carried out at the Ethnographic Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences with the support of the UNESCO Participation Programme. Within the project, she participated in the seminar “Women Scholars for Women Scholars – Methodologies of Feminist Researchers” (November 2019) and in the organization of the conference „Women Scientists in Society“ (11-12 February 2020, SANU, Belgrade), and within the same project, she was a copy editor and proofreader of the collection „Women Scholars and Scientists in Society” (edited by Lada Stevanović, Mladena Prelić and Miroslava Lukić Krstanović). She also participated in the programme Heritage and Significance of Women Scientists in Serbia: Research of the Past as Investment for the Future (SASA Institute of Ethnography/ UNESCO) and was a participant in the webinar „Research of heritage and importance of women scholars in Serbia: methods and approaches” in 2021.
Ivana Ralović also participated in the Jean Monet Module and Summer school organised by the Department of Musicology, Faculty of Music, Belgrade: “Unity in Diversity: Local versus Global”, as part of the Jean Monnet Module of the EU studies „Music and Art in Shaping of the European Cultural Identity“ (2017/18 and 2018/19).
She has participated in several national and international scientific conferences. Her works are published in scientific journals, thematic journals and national and international conference proceedings. Her scientific interests are focused on literary theory, the history of general literature, transmediality, and the study of relationship between literature, film and popular culture.
She is a member of the theatre team expert group for the Encyclopaedia of National Theatre.
